Turned Parts from Vietnam — Common Questions

Can you hold ±0.005mm on turned OD over a 400mm shaft length?
Yes. Long-shaft OD tolerance is controlled by steady-rest support and in-process diameter checks at multiple stations. Our Mazak QT handles shaft lengths up to 1,200mm between centers. Cpk ≥ 1.67 is our documented process floor — deviations require a corrective action before parts leave inspection.
Do you handle mill-turn parts with cross-holes and keyways in a single setup?
Yes — this is a core reason to run mill-turn rather than separate operations. Cross-holes, keyways, flats, and radial drilled features are completed in one chucking on the DMG Mori 5-axis. Single-setup machining eliminates repositioning error and reduces lead time by 1–2 days compared to sequential ops.
What’s the minimum order quantity for CNC turned parts?

How long does air freight take from Ho Chi Minh City to the US or EU?
Air freight from Tan Son Nhat Airport (TSN) to LAX or ORD runs 2–3 business days. To Frankfurt or Amsterdam: 3–4 days. Our facility in Binh Chanh District sits less than 25km from TSN. For volume shipments, sea freight to US West Coast is 18–22 days from Cat Lai Port, also <25km from the factory.
